Process of A Beautiful Woman Lip Dessert – Turkish Dessert
Firstly prepare the syrup.
Boil the mixture of the water and sugar.
When it reaches to a low consistency, add lemon juice in it.
Boil the mixture for 20 minutes over medium heat. Then, remove it from the stove and let it cool down.
To prepare the dough, combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl except for the baking powder and flour.
Then add the baking powder and add the flour slowly and knead.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
Divide the dough in 2 pieces then make each pieces 12 and roll all of the pieces in your palm.
Place the rolled dough pieces in a lightly floured tray and cover.
Leave them for 1 hour.
And then roll out the pieces in the size of dessert plates by using a rolling pin (12-15 cm.).
While rolling out, sprinkle starch on and under the dough.
Put on top of each other and sprinkle starch between the dessert plate size phyllo sheets.
Roll out the 12 tiered dough to 4 mm thick by using rolling pin (while rolling out, make it larger by pressing on the dough with your finger tips ).
At the end the 12 tiered dough become 1 phyllo sheet.
Cut by using the edge of a glass, mug or another round cup (cut closer not leave empty space).
Then take the left dough among the pieces you cut,
Put some walnut pieces crushed in bite size in the middle of the dough pieces and close dough pieces forming half-moons.
As the dough is oily enough, no need to grease the tray.
Place them closely to each other in to the tray and bake them.
Melt the butter in a pan and add the vegetable oil and brush them on the half moons.
Then bake them in the preheated oven at 190°C until they get golden brown (while baking, check them).
After they get golden brown, take them out from the oven and leave them for 10 minutes to get warm.
After then pour the syrup on the golden half moons.
When they absorb the syrup, sprinkle some walnut or coconut on them and serve.
This Turkish dessert recipe is for 72 pieces.
