Always Fresh Pastry Recipe
You can’t believe how these easy to make balls can be that yummy. Give this always fresh pastry recipe a try. Your family and friends love it.
For the dough;
- 3 packets of baking powder (10+10+10 grams),
- 2 cups of yogurt (homemade),
- 1 cup of vegetable oil,
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 4,5 – 5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- Feta cheese or curd cheese,
- 1 pinch of parsley.
For the top;
- Bread crumbs.
Process of Always Fresh Pastry Recipe
Firstly, to prepare the dough, combine all the ingredients except for the flour in a deep bowl.
Add the flour slowly and knead well.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
Cover the dough and leave it to rise for 15 or 20 minutes.
To prepare the filling, mix the feta cheese and the finely chopped parsley in a bowl.
Put bread crumbs in a bowl.
Take walnut sized pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Flatten them with your hands.
Put a little amount of the cheese mixture on it and close it up folding the edges upwards like a bundle.
Roll them again in your palm and dip them into the breadcrumbs.
Then place them on a baking sheet in a tray.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get golden brown.
After taking them out from the oven, serve.
