Baked Eggplant and Beef Kebab Recipe
This is a delicious eggplant and beef dish for eggplant lovers! This delicious recipe for baked eggplant and beef kebab is made with eggplant, beef, tomato, onion, garlic and the spices.
- 5 eggplants,
- Aluminium foil.
For the beef mixture;
- 200 grams beef,
- 2 tomatoes,
- 1 onion,
- 3 green peppers,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- Black pepper,
- Red pepper flakes,
For the sauce;
- 1,5 cups of water,
- 1 tablespoon of paste,
- Vegetable oil.
Process of Baked Eggplant and Beef Kebab Recipe
Firstly, shorten the eggplant stalks, do not cut them.
Then peel the eggplants and leave them in a salty water.
Cut the beef in pieces (smaller than bite sized beef).
Heat a pan and add the beef pieces in it and cook by stirring.
Then add the chopped onion, peppers and add the vegetable oil. Continue to cook by stirring.
Add the peeled and diced tomatoes and grated cloves of garlic and cook for 3 minutes.
Finally add the spices and mix well then remove it from the stove.
Heat some vegetable oil in a pan and fry the eggplants by turning them.
Then place the fried eggplants in a tray.
With the slit facing upwards, use the back of a spoon to push the slit open to form the eggplant into a canoe shape.
Place the beef mixture in the center of the eggplants and decorate the eggplants by placing tomato and pepper pieces on them.
To prepare the sauce, mix the water, paste and salt in a bowl and pour it in to the tray (do not pour the sauce on the eggplants).
Cover the tray with aluminium foil and bake it in the preheated oven at 200°C for 20 minutes.
After the 20 minutes, remove the aluminium foil from the tray and bake it for more 10 minutes.
Then serve the baked eggplant and beef kebab hot.
