Baked Meatballs with Potato Slices Recipes
These healthy baked meatballs with potato slices and their sauce hide a wonderful flavor.
- 4 potatoes,
- Cherry tomatoes,
- Green pepper.
To prepare the meatballs;
- 300 grams ground beef,
- 1 onion,
- 3 slices bread or 3 tablespoons of breadcrumbs
- 1 pinch of parsley,
- Red pepper flakes,
- Black pepper,
For the sauce;
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 1 coffee spoon of pepper paste,
- 1-2 cloves garlic,
- 2 cups of water,
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
Process of Baked Meatballs with Potato Slices Recipes
Firstly, to prepare the meatballs, put the ground beef in a deep bowl.
Chop the parsley and the onion by using a chopper and add them on the ground beef.
Add the breadcrumbs, spices, salt and mix them and knead.
Then take pieces from the mixture and roll them in your palm.
Peel the potatoes and wash them then slice (do not make the slices thick).
Place the meatballs between the two potato slices and spear with toothpicks and then place them in to a pyrex.
Put a half of the cherry tomato and a small green pepper slice on the meatball between the potato slices.
Instead of the half of the cherry tomato, you can use tomato slices, too.
To prepare the sauce, mix the tomato paste, pepper paste and the water.
Then add the vegetable oil, garlic, salt and mix them.
Pour the mixture on the meatballs between the potato slices.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 190°C until the potatoes get tender.
When the potatoes get tender enough, take them out from the oven and serve it with pilaf.

If you want, you can fry the meatballs and the potatoes lightly before baking.
