Baked Pasta with Bechamel Sauce Recipe
It is a simple mixture of boiled pasta and béchamel sauce, seasoned with some grated cheese. And it is called baked pasta with bechamel sauce recipe. Here it is;
- A half packet of pasta (250 grams),
- 6 cups of water (1200 ml.),
For the sauce;
- 1 tablespoon of butter,
- 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour,
- 2 cups of milk (400 ml.),
- 1 coffee spoon of salt.
For the top;
- Grated kashar cheese.
Process of Baked Pasta with Bechamel Sauce Recipe
To prepare the baked pasta, firstly, pour the water in a deep saucepan and add the salt and bring it to boil. When it starts to boil, add the pasta and cook the pasta until it gets tender. And then drain it. Pour the boiled pasta into a greased rectangular pyrex 28×17 or a greased tray.
To prepare the bechamel sauce, melt the butter. Add the flour and stir until bubbly. Don’t let the flour darken or burn. Turn the heat to low, add the milk, salt and whisk until smooth and continue whisking until the mixture scalds and begins to thicken. Don’t let it boil. Continue until you have a smooth, white sauce.
Pour the hot bechamel sauce over the pasta. Bake it in the 175°C oven until the dish is firm and the top is golden brown. Then remove the pasta from the oven and cover the top of the pasta with the grated cheese.
Then bake it again until it gets golden brown. And finally cut it squares and serve it hot.
