Beef Stew in Clay Pot Recipe
Cooking in clay pot, especially beef stew in clay pot has a very special place in Turkish cuisine. Everyone agrees that the food becomes more tasty when cooked in clay pot.
- 500 grams beef (chopped in bite size),,
- 3 middle size eggplants,
- 2 onions,
- 4 green peppers,
- 2 gloves of garlic,
- Black pepper,
- Red pepper flakes,
- Vegetable oil,
For the sauce;
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 1 cup of water (200 ml.).
For its above;
- 1 tomato,
- 2 green bell peppers.
Process of Beef Stew in Clay Pot Recipe
Put the beef into a pressure cooker and cover with water.
Close the cover of the pressure cooker and leave to boil.
After it boils, continue cooking for 15 minutes.
Peel the eggplants striped and dice them.
Put the eggplants in a pot. Add some water and salt. Leave them in water for 10 minutes.
Strain the eggplants and fry them in hot oil and take them on a paper towel.
Chop the onions finely and green peppers and put them into a pan. Add vegetable oil and saute them.
Add the garlic and the spices on them and stir.
And then add the boiled beef on them and stir and turn off the cooker.
Finally add the eggplants and stir. Put the mixture in a middle size clay pot.
Mix a cup of water and a tablespoon of paste in a bowl. And pour the sauce onto the mixture.
And place tomato and green bell pepper slices on the mixture.
Bake it into the preheated oven to 200°C until the tomato and pepper slices cooked through.
Remove the oven and serve hot.
