Bulgur Pilaf Recipe
This bulgur pilaf recipe is an easy and delicious way to get all the nutritional benefits of bulgur wheat. It is the perfect side dish to go with grilled meats and chicken.
- 2 cups of large (coarse) bulgur wheat,
- 4 cups of water or beef consomme,
- 1 tablespoon of paste,
- 1 tablespoon of butter,
- A half teacup of vegetable oil,
Process of Bulgur Pilaf Recipe
Firstly, wash the bulgur wheat and drain.
Heat the butter and the vegetable oil in a pot.
Add the paste and cook by stirring.
Add the bulgur wheat and cook by stirring for 1 or 2 minutes.
Finally add the water and the salt and mix well then cover the lid.
Cook it over low heat until bulgur wheat absorb the water and until they get tender enough.
After they get tender enough and absorb the water, stir the pilaf and remove it from the stove.
Then cover the lid again and leave it for 10 minutes.
After the 10 minutes, serve the pilaf hot.
