Carrot Apple Dessert with Rusk Toast Recipe
This carrot apple dessert is unusual but so delicious. Lay the shredded rusk toasts and place the carrot apple mixture on and then spread vanilla cream.
- 1 packet of melba toast.
For the apple and carrot mixture;
- 1 apple,
- 3 middle size carrots,
- 1 teacup of granulated sugar (the teacup size 110 ml.),
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon,
- 1 teacup of crushed walnut,
For the cream;
- 4 cups of milk (800 ml.),
- 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour,
- 2 tablespoons of starch,
- 4,5 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
- 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams).
For the syrup;
- 1,5 cups of granulated sugar,
- 2 cups of water (400 ml.).
Process of Carrot Apple Dessert with Rusk Toast Recipe
Firstly, wash the apple and the carrots, peel and grate them.
Put them in a pan and add the sugar and the vegetable oil and leave it to cook over medium heat until the mixture absorbs the juice.
Then add the crushed walnut and the cinnamon and mix and remove it from the stove.
To prepare the syrup, put the sugar and the water in a pot and leave it to boil.
After it starts to boil, continue to boil for more 5 minutes.
Then remove it from the stove and leave it for 5 minutes
Place the melba toasts in a rectangular pyrex and pour the syrup on them.
Place the apple and the carrot mixture on the melba toasts and spread.
To prepare the cream, put all the ingredients except for the vanilla in a pot and mix until it gets smooth.
Then cook it by stirring until it gets thick.
After it gets thick, remove the cream from the stove and add the vanilla and mix well.
Pour the cream on the carrot and the apple mixture and spread.
Decorate the carrot apple dessert how you like and leave it to cool at the room temperature.
Then leave it to cool completely in the refrigerator for 2 or 3 hours.
When it gets cool enough, serve.
