Cheese and Parsley Filled Pie Recipe
Due to popular demand, you will have to make this fluffy tray pastry again and again. The pie will be very popular in your family for breakfast, lunch or something to eat with tea. The soft pie can be filled in various ways. Whatever you like!
For the dough;
- 1,5 cups of warm milk,
- 1 teaspoon of granulated sugar,
- 1 packet of instant yeast (10 grams),
- A half teacup of vegetable oil,
- 25 grams butter (at the room temperature),
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 3,5 – 4 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- 1 bowl of curd cheese,
- A half bunch of parsley.
For the top;
- 1 egg yolk,
- Sesame seeds.
Process of Cheese and Parsley Filled Pie Recipe
Firstly, to prepare the dough, combine the warm milk, sugar and the yeast and mix them until the sugar and the yeast dissolve.
Add the vegetable oil, butter and salt.
Then add the flour slowly and knead well.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
Cover the dough and leave it to rise at a warm temperature until it gets double size.
To prepare the filling, mix the curd cheese and the chopped parsley in a bowl.
After the dough gets double size, knead it again and divide the dough in 2 pieces and roll them.
Roll out the first dough piece by using a rolling pin as large as a baking tray.
Place the rolled out dough in a greased round pyrex or round baking tray.
Place the filling on the dough.
Then roll out the second dough piece and place it on the filling and press slightly on the edges of the dough.
Cut the pie in 8 triangle pieces and brush the egg yolk on them and sprinkle sesame.
Then bake the pie in the preheated oven at 180°C until it gets golden brown.
If you desire, you can use any other filling instead of curd cheese and parsley.
If the top of the pie gets golden brown earlier than the bottom, then cover it with a baking sheet and then continue baking.
