Cheese Potatoes Recipe
This easy to make and delicious skillet cheese potatoes recipe is perfect for breakfast and brunch with a cup of tea or is a quick dish for any week night with a salad.
- 4 big size potatoes,
- 1 bowl of grated kashar (cheddar) cheese,
- A half tablespoon of butter,
- A half tablespoon of vegetable oil.
Process of Cheese Potatoes Recipe
To prepare the cheese potatoes, at first, peel the potatoes and cut in big size and boil them (do not make them tender). Then grate the boiled potatoes and add salt and mix.
Heat the butter and the vegetable oil in a non stick pan and put the half of the potatoes in the pan. Place the kashar cheese on the potatoes and then put the other half of the potatoes on the kashar cheese.
Cook it over medium heat until the bottom gets golden. Cook both sides by turning it and then place it on a serving plate and serve hot.
Note: If you desire, you can add chopped onion and parsley. I used Turkish kashar cheese with these potatoes, but you can use any other melting cheese of your favorite.
