Cheese Triangle Borek Recipe
This step-by-step cooking tutorial will teach you how to make borek using phyllo dough. Try this shortcut borek recipe.
- 3 sheets of phyllo dough.
For the sauce;
- 1 teacup of milk,
- 1 teacup of vegetable oil,
- 1 egg white,
- 1 tablespoon of water,
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
- Cottage cheese or feta cheese,
- 1/2 bunch of parsley, finely chopped.
For its above;
- Egg yolk,
- 3-4 tablespoons of sauce,
- Sesame seeds.
Process of Cheese Triangle Borek Recipe
For the sauce, mix the milk, vegetable oil, egg white, water and vinegar in a large bowl.
Add 3 – 4 tablespoons of sauce on the egg yolk and set aside for brush the borek.
For the filling, toss together the cottage cheese and finely chopped parsley in a bowl.
Lay the one sheet of phyllo dough on a flat surface and brush the whole surface of phyllo dough with sauce.
Arrange the second phyllo dough and brush it with sauce and apply the same process for the last one.
Sprinkle the cheese mixture over them.
Fold the top and bottom side of phyllo dough up over the filling until meet the center.
Cut the dough in half along the center line and you get two folded dough.
Then cut each folded dough into triangles.
Place triangles borek on the baking sheet in to the tray.
Brush the egg yolk mixture on them and then sprinkle sesame.
Bake them in the preheated oven to 180°C until they get golden brown.
Serve warm with a cup of tea.
