Melt in Your Mouth Cinnamon Shortbread Cookies Recipe
Cinnamon shortbread cookies that are melt-in-your-mouth good, quick and easy to make. They are a keeper!
- 125 grams margarine,
- A half teacup of vegetable oil,
- 1 coffee spoon cinnamon,
- 2 tablespoons of starch,
- 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar,
- 1 packet baking powder (10 grams),
- 1 packet vanilla (5 grams),
- 2 – 2,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup size is 200 ml.).
Process of Melt in Your Mouth Cinnamon Shortbread Cookies Recipe
Mix all the ingredients in a deep bowl, except for the flour.
And add the flour gradually. Knead your dough until the dough gets soft but not sticky.
Take walnut sized pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Press slightly on them with your hand and make lines on them by using a fork.
Place the cinnamon shortbread cookies on a baking sheet in to a tray.
Bake them into the oven preheated to 180°C until their bottoms get lightly brown..
Check them while baking so that they don’t turn too brown.
Then remove them from the oven and leave in the tray to cool down.
When they get cool enough, sprinkle some powdered sugar on them and serve.
This recipe is for 22 cinnamon shortbread cookies.
Note; When you remove the cookies from the oven, they soft. Don’t worry about that. Don’t take them from the tray.
