Corn Flour Soup with Vermicelli Recipe
For lunch or dinner, soups are a great healthy meal. Get the comfort with this healthy and delicious homemade corn flour soup with vermicelli.
- 4 tablespoons of corn flour,
- 2 tablespoons of butter,
- 2 tablespoons of vermicelli,
- 3 cups of milk (600 ml.),
- 3 cups of water (600 ml.),
For the sauce;
- Vegetable oil,
- Red pepper flakes,
Process of Corn Flour Soup with Vermicelli Recipe
Firstly, heat the butter in a pan and add the corn flour and cook by stirring for 1 minute. When the color of the flour gets slightly dark, add the milk slowly and mix by using wire beater.
Then add the water and cook over medium heat by stirring constantly until it boils. When it boils, add the vermicelli and salt then continue to boil for more 5 or 6 minutes.
If the soup gets too thick, you can add some hot water. When the vermicelli gets tender enough, remove it from the stove.
Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and add the red pepper flakes. Pour the sauce on the soup in the bowls while serving. Sprinkle some thyme on the soup and serve hot.
