Cream Filled Buns Recipe
These cream filled buns are so delicious. Your children will love it. They are filled with whipped cream and dusted in powdered sugar.
- 110 ml. hot water (1 teacup),
- 1 teacup of milk,
- 1 teacup of vegetable oil,
- 2 eggs,
- 3 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
- 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams),
- 1 packet of instant yeast (10 grams),
- 4-5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).
For the cream;
- 3 cups of milk (600 ml.),
- A half cup of granulated sugar,
- 2 tablespoons of all purpose flour (full spoon),
- 1 tablespoon of starch,
- 2 packets of vanilla (5 + 5 grams),
- 1 packet of whipped cream powder (75 grams).
For the top;
- Powdered sugar.
Process of Cream Filled Buns Recipe
Firstly, combine the 4 cups of flour, yeast and the vanilla in a deep bowl.
In the center of the mixture, add the sugar, milk, vegetable oil, hot water and the eggs and kned well.
If needed, add some more flour.
Get a soft and not sticky dough.
Cover the dough and leave it a warm place to rise for 30 minutes.
Take pieces a little bit bigger than a lemon from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Then place them in a greased tray and leave them in the tray to rise for more 15 minutes.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get slightly golden.
Then take them out from the oven and leave them to cool.
To prepare the cream, mix the milk, sugar, flour and starch in a deep pot by using a wire beater.
And cook it until it gets thick enough by stirring constantly.
Then turn of the stove and leave it to cool at the room temperature.
After it gets cool enough, add the vanilla and the whipped cream powder and mix by using a mixer for 2 or 3 minutes.
Cut the buns in half.
Place some cream filling on the half of the buns and them place the other half on the cream.
Continue with the left buns and cream.
At the end, sprinkle some powdered sugar on them and serve.
If you desire, pour some chocolate sauce before serving.
The size of the buns also depends on your choice, you can make the buns smaller or bigger.
