Creamy Lentil Soup Recipe
Lentil soup is comforting, simple, and easy to throw together. And now make it more delicious with this creamy lentil soup recipe.
- 1 onion,
- A half teacup of vegetable oil (55 ml.),
- 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour,
- 1 teacup of red lentil (the teacup size is 110 ml.),
- 5 cups of hot water (1 liter).
For the creamy sauce;
- A half cup of milk (100 ml.),
- A half lemon juice,
- 1 egg yolk.
For the top;
- Dried mint,
- Red pepper flakes.
Process of Creamy Lentil Soup Recipe
Firstly, chop the onion and put the vegetable oil in a pot and add the finely chopped onion and cook them by stirring.
Then add the flour and cook by stirring.
Add the rinsed and drained lentils and the water and cook it until the lentils get tender.
To prepare the creamy sauce, mix the lemon juice, milk and the egg yolk in a small bowl.
When the lentils get tender, remove the pot from the stove and use blender until smooth.
Then add the creamy sauce in the soup slowly and mix well.
Then boil the soup for 2 or 3 minutes more.
For the top, melt the butter in a small pan and add the red pepper flakes and the mint.
Before serving the creamy lentil soup, pour the butter sauce in the bowls and serve hot.
