Creamy Potato Soup Recipe
This classic creamy potato soup is one of our most popular recipes. It is easy to make so you won’t mind when your family ask you to do so over and over!
- 3 middle size potatoes,
- A half teacup of vegetable oil (55 ml.),
- 1 onion,
- 2 cloves of garlic,
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 100 ml. sour cream,
For the top;
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil or butter
- 1 teaspoon of red pepper flakes.
Process of Creamy Potato Soup Recipe
For the beginning, chop the onion and the cloves of garlic and put them in a pot. Add the vegetable oil and cook them by stirring. Then add the grated potatoes and add the salt. If you desire, add black pepper and red pepper flakes and mix by stirring and cook for more 1 or 2 minutes. Add the water and cook it until the potatoes get tender.
After the potatoes get tender enough,use blender and then add the cream in the soup and mix by stirring. Add water how much the soup requires and leave it to boil. Boil for 2 minutes and turn off the stove.
Melt the butter in a small pan or you can use vegetable oil and add the red pepper flakes in and cook by stirring for a while.
Pour the creamy potato soup in bowls and before serving, put some butter and red pepper flakes mixture on them and serve hot.
