Children love strawberries then why not make a cake with these tasty and red strawberries. It is a very quick and easy custard cake with strawberry sauce. You can serve it both as a cake with tea in the afternoon or as a dessert after dinner.

Ingredients;

For the cake;

  • 2 eggs,
  • 1 teacup of granulated sugar,
  • 1 teacup of milk,
  • 110 ml. vegetable oil (1 teacup),
  • 1 packet of baking powder (10 grams),
  • 3 teacup of all purpose flour.

For the custard;

  • 2 cups of milk,
  • 1 egg yolk,
  • 1 teacup of granulated sugar,
  • 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour,
  • 1 tablespoon of butter (25 grams),
  • 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams),
  • 100 grams of labneh cheese (a full tablespoon).

For the strawberry cheese;

  • 1 bowl of strawberry,
  • 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
  • 1 tablespoon of starch.

The teacup size is 110 ml.

Process of Custard Cake with Strawberry Sauce Recipe

As a start, to prepare the cake mixture, mix the sugar and the eggs in a deep bowl until it gets foamy.
Add the milk, vegetable oil, flour, baking powder and mix well.
Pour the mixture in a greased pie pan and spread.
Bake it in the preheated oven at 160°C.
After checking the cake by using a toothpick, take it out from the oven.
Leave it to get cool at the room temperature.

To prepare the custard, mix the milk, sugar, egg yolk and the flour in a pot by using a wire beater.
Then cook the mixture by stirring constantly until it gets thick.
When it gets thick, remove it from the stove and add the butter and the vanilla and mix well.
When the custard gets warm, add the labneh cheese and mix it by using a mixer.

Remove the cake from the pie pan by turning it on a serving plate.
Pour the custard in the space on the cake and spread and leave it to get cool at the room temperature.

To prepare the strawberry sauce, put the strawberries in the bowl of a food processor or blender and process the berries until they are pureed.
Then pour the pureed strawberries in a small pan and add the granulated sugar and the starch.
Cook it over the stove by stirring constantly until it gets thick
After cooking, leave it for while.
And then pour it on the custard.

Leave the custard cake with strawberry sauce to cool for 1 or 2 hours.
When it gets cool enough, decorate the cake how you like and serve.

While preparing the sauce, you can use any other fruits instead of strawberry.
