Process of Drape Pilaf Recipe
Firstly, boil the chicken breast into a salty water until chicken is well done. Then cut or separate to small pieces and set aside.
Leave the rice in to salty water for 20 minutes then rinse and drain.
Put the vegetable oil in a pilaf pot and put the rinsed rice in it. Add the salt and cook by stirring. Add the butter and stir. Pour the 3 cups of chicken broth and leave it to boil. After it starts to boil, cover the lid and cook over the low heat until the rice absorb the water.
After the rice absorbs the water and get tender, remove it from the stove and leave it for 10 minutes. Then add the chopped chicken breast, currant, black pepper and mix them. Leave it to cool (do not cover the lid then).
Take the puff pastry sheets out from the freezer and leave them for 5 minutes. Cut them in half and get square puff pastry sheets.
Place one of the square puff pastry sheets on a plastic wrap and by pressing its edges with your fingers make it larger. Place the pilaf mixture in the center and enclose the filling by bringing the edges together.
Put the rolls by placing the edges underneath on a baking sheet in a tray. Brush the egg yolk on them and sprinkle some sesame and black cumin seeds.
Finally bake them in the preheated oven at 190°C until they get golden brown. After baking, leave the drape pilaf for a while and serve.
