Process of Easy Pastry Twist Rings Recipe
Prepare the dough. Combine all the ingredients except for the flour and the yeast in a deep bowl. Add the yeast and add the flour slowly and knead well. Get a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Clean your hands and gather the dough and sprinkle a little amount of flour on the dough. Cover the dough and leave it to rise for 1 hour.
After 1 hour, take mandarin size pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Take two of the dough balls and by using your hands form a long rope on a plain surface. Twist the long ropes to form a two-stranded rope and join ends together to form a circle, pressing ends firmly to seal. Continue with the other dough balls.
Mix the egg, molasses and the vegetable oil in a bowl. Dip the twist rings into the sauce and place them on a baking sheet in a tray by leaving some space between them. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on them. Leave them to rise in the tray for 20 minutes before baking.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get golden brown.
