Easy Shortbread Cookies Recipe
These easy shortbread cookies literally melt in your mouth and so simple to make and so delicious.
- 250 grams butter or margarine (at the room temperature),
- 1 cup of powdered sugar,
- A half cup of vegetable oil,
- 1 coffee spoon of baking powder,
- 4 – 4,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).

Firstly, to prepare the dough, mix the margarine, vegetable oil, powdered sugar in a bowl until it gets creamy.
Add the baking powder and add the flour slowly and knead.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
Take walnut sized pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Place the rolled dough on a baking sheet in to a tray by leaving some space between each dough.
Then make lines by using a toothpick on the dough.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C for almost 20 minutes until their bottoms get lightly brown.
Take the shortbread cookies out from the oven when they are still white (do not let them get golden).
And leave them to cool in the tray.
When they get cool enough, sprinkle some powdered sugar on them and serve.
