Flaky Pastry without Yeast Recipe
Is it possible to make delicious flaky pastry without yeast or baking powder? With this recipe, of course. And also it is very easy and quick recipe because you will not bake the pastries you will cook them in a pan.
- 200 ml. of warm water,
- 1 egg,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 3 – 3,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).
- 50 grams butter,
- 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil.
Process of Flaky Pastry without Yeast Recipe
For the flaky pastry without yeast, at first, beat the eggs in a deep bowl by using a wire beater.
Then pour the warm water and add the salt and mix them.
Add the flour slowly and knead.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
Divide the dough in 7 pieces and roll them in your palm.
Melt the 50 grams butter in a pan and add the vegetable oil, mix them.
Roll the pieces on a plain and lightly floured surface as big as a plate.
Then brush the butter and the vegetable oil mixture on them and roll them.
Then wrap the doughs and roll and make spiral shapes.
Put the other tip of the spiral shaped dough under it.
Leave the spiral shaped doughs ona plain and lightly floured surface for 10 minutes.
Then roll the spiral shaped doughs again (not very thick or not very thin).
Heat the pan over the stove and place the dough in it.
Cook the dough in the pan until gets golden brown.
Then turn the other side and also cook it until get golden brown.
Brush the butter and vegetable mixture on the side that gets golden brown.
After the other side gets golden brown, brush the mixture on it, too.
Put on top of each other and serve hot.
