Forest Kebab Recipe
Forest Kebab is a delicious meal from Turkish Cuisine. This is a well known dish all over the country. It is served as a main course.
- 350 grams beef cut large chunks,
- 2 middle size onions,
- 2 carrots,
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 2 middle size potatoes,
- 4 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 2 tablespoons of all purpose flour,
- 1 bowl boiled peas (canned peas can also be used in this recipe),
- 3 cups of water (600 ml.).
Process of Forest Kebab Recipe
To prepare the forest kebab, firstly, put the beef cut large chunks into a bowl and add 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and flour. Then mix them.
Heat a tablespoon vegetable oil in a saucepan and place beef cut large chunks in it. Cook by stirring it until the beef cut large chunks leak out the juice and re-absorb it. Then take them in a plate.
In the saucepan you cooked the beef cut large chunks, add a tablespoon of oil and chopped onions and saute them. Peel the carrots, dice them and put them into the saucepan. Peel the potatoes, dice them and add them into the saucepan.
After cooking them for almost 10 minutes, add the beef cut large chunks and a tablespoon of tomato paste in the saucepan. Pour 3 cups of hot water, add the salt how much you like and cook at a medium heat until the vegetables get tender. After they get enough tender, add the peas.
Heat a tablespoon of oil in a pan and add some thyme in it then add the sauce into the meal and stir it. Turn off the cooker and leave the meal for 10 minutes then serve it hot.
