Fried Dough in 10 Minutes Recipe
This easy fried dough pastry version uses a simple baking powder dough, and fries in just vegetable oil. The fried dough is a great addition to a Sunday breakfast / brunch, so next time you want to have a long Sunday morning around a table, you might want to try this recipe!
For the dough;
- 1 cup of yogurt,
- 2 eggs,
- 1 baking powder (10 grams),
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 3,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.).
- Vegetable oil.

Firstly, to prepare the dough, combine the yogurt, egg, salt and the baking powder in a deep bowl.
Add the flour slowly and knead well.
Get a soft but not sticky dough. There is no need to wait for the dough.
Roll out the dough on a slightly floured plain surface by using a rolling pin (not very thin or not very thick).
Cut out by using any cookie cutters you desire or cut the dough by using a knife.
Then fry the dough pieces by turning them.
After frying the both sides of the dough, place them on a paper towel.
Then serve them hot.
This fried dough recipe is for 7 or 8 people.
