Garlic Bread Recipe
Baking your own bread can be terrifying, but never fear! You can use this super easy garlic bread recipe to whet your guests’ appetites.
For the dough;
- 1,5 cups of water,
- 1 cup of water,
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 1 packet of instant yeast (10 grams),
- 1 coffee spoon of granulated sugar,
- 1,5 coffee spoon of salt,
- 6 cups and 1 tablespoon of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- 2-3 cloves of garlic,
- 100 grams of butter (at the room temperature),
- 1 pinch of parsley,
- If desired, red pepper flakes.
Process of Garlic Bread Recipe
For the beginning, to prepare the garlic bread dough, combine all the ingredients except for the yeast and the flour in a deep bowl.
Then add one cup of flour and the yeast and mix well.
Add the flour left slowly and knead well.
Get a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Clean your hands and then add one more tablespoon of flour and gather the dough.
Mix the butter, grated garlic, chopped parsley, thyme and red pepper flakes and get a creamy mixture.
There is no need to leave the dough to rise.
Divide the dough in 2 pieces and roll out one of the pieces in 7 or 8 mm thickness on a slightly floured plain surface.
Spread the creamy mixture on the dough and roll it.
Cut the rolled dough in half lenghtwise and twist the pieces to form a braid.
Stick the tips of the dough and place it on a baking sheet in a tray (the tray is 32*26 cm).
Continue with the other dough piece and then leave them in the tray for 30 minutes before baking.
Then bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get golden brown.
Nothing is brushed on the breads.
After baking, slice the bread and serve.
