Hibiscus Syrup Recipe
An easy to make homemade hibiscus syrup that’s sweet-tart flavor is perfect over pancakes, ice cream, or yogurt. And also it is very healthy because it is a very strong antioxidant, helpful to lose weight and good for gastric cancer, high blood pressure, cholesterol levels. The antibacterial properties of hibiscus flowers are said to be due to the presence of a rich amount of Vitamin C (also known as absorbic acid). The immune system gets a boost. The presence of minerals and vitamins in the form of flavonoids can assist in calming down the nervous system, and your negative feelings such as depression and anxiety are also eliminated.
- 1 cup of dried hibiscus flowers
- 2 liter of water (10 cups),
- 1 cup of granulated sugar,
- 7 – 8 cloves,
- 1 cinnamon quill,
- 2 – 3 slices of lemon (thin slices).
Process of Homemade Hibiscus Syrup Recipe
To prepare the syrup, combine the water, hibiscus flowers, sugar, cloves and the cinnamon quill in a pot.
Then leave it to boil.
When it starts to boil, add the lemon slices.
Continue to boil for more 15 minutes over low heat.
Then remove it from the stove and leave it to cool.
After it gets cool enough, grain.
Leave it to cool in the refrigerator.
Serve the hibiscus syrup cool.
