Homemade Cheese Buns Recipe Video
Homemade cheese buns are easy to make at home; make your kitchen smell heavenly and they are very popular with children, as well as adults. Bakeries, street stalls sell freshly baked buns (plain, with white cheese, olives or with potato & cheese filling) in Turkey and with a glass of tea aside, they make a delicious and affordable breakfast or tea time treat.

For the best homemade cheese buns, mix the warm milk (not hot or not cold), yeast, granulated sugar and vegetable oil in a deep bowl and leave for 10 minutes.
Prepare the filling. Wash the parsley and slice them into small pieces. Put the parsley and the cottage cheese in a bowl and mix them.
Add the margarine at a room temperature, the egg and salt into the mixture you left for 10 minutes. Add the flour gradually into the mixture and knead it until get a soft dough.
Take mandarin sized pieces from the dough. Flatten these pieces on a flat ground by using your hand. Put a little cottage cheese with parsley in the middle of the dough. Make the edges of the dough come together and roll the dough in the palm of your hand. Place them into the greased baking tray.
Leave the buns into the tray for 15-20 minutes for the ferment process.
Then brush the egg yolk on the buns and criss-cross each buns by using a fork. At the end, bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get golden brown at top. You can serve them 5 minutes later.
