Homemade Vanilla Custard Recipe
A very tasty homemade vanilla custard that is cooked on the stove top in just minutes.
- 100 grams of margarine,
- 1 liter milk,
- 4 tablespoonful of all-purpose flour,
- 1 cup of granulated sugar,
- 5 grams of vanilla (1 packet),
- 1 egg yolk.
For its above;
- 1 cup of ground walnut.
The cup size: 200 ml.
Process of Homemade Vanilla Custard Recipe
Using a whisk, combine the egg yolk and sugar in a medium saucepan until pale and thick.
Add 1 liter milk and cook over low heat on stove top by stirring constantly until the sugar dissolved. (do not allow to boil)
Remove the milk mixture from the heat.
Melt the margarine in separate saucepan.
Add the flour and cook it at a low heat by stirring until it gets golden.
Then add the milk mixture and cook it by stirring constantly until it is steaming and has thickened slightly.
Remove the heat and add vanilla and stir for 10 minutes to cool.
Then pour the mixture into the soaked rectangular pyrex.
Finally sprinkle the ground walnut over the custard.
Put it into the fridge to cool and then serve.
