Honey Rolls Recipe
Here are the soft, fluffy, tried & true honey rolls. They are easy to do and sweetened with honey.
- 1 coffee spoon of instant yeast,
- 3 cups of all purpose flour (the cup size is 200 ml.),
- 1 tablespoon of honey,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- A half cup of milk (100 ml.),
- A half cup of water (100 ml.).
For the top; (If you desire.)
- Sesame seeds,
- Black cumin seeds,
- Poppy seeds.
Process of Honey Rolls Recipe
Prepare the dough. Combine the 2 cups of all purpose flour, salt, honey and the yeast in a deep bowl. Add the slightly warm milk and water and start to knead. Add the flour left slowly and knead well. Get a soft but not sticky dough. Knead the dough for 7 or 8 minutes. Cover the dough and leave it to rise for an hour.
At the end of the time, divide the dough in 10 pieces and roll them in your palm. Press on them slightly. Place the dough balls in a slightly floured tray by leaving space between them.
Make your hands wet and make the tops of the dough wet by touching them. Sprinkle some sesame seeds, black cumin seeds or poppy seeds.
Then leave them in the tray to rise for more 45 minutes before baking.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 200°C for almost 20 minutes until they get golden brown.
If you do not want to use honey, then you can add 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar instead of honey.
Note: To make the honey rolls soft, place a bowl of water in the oven while baking.
