How to Cook Ground Beef
Cooking ground beef on stove top is a first step in many recipes. You can cook ground beef before and save it in the freezer or in jars for long. Learn how to cook ground beef and how to save cooked ground beef with these simple instructions and photos.
- 5 kilos of ground beef,
- 1 cup of vegetable oil (200 ml.) (If you cook lamb mince, then use a half cup of vegetable oil),
- Black pepper.
How to Cook Ground Beef?
At first, put a teacup of vegetable oil and the ground beef in a large pan and start to cook by stirring until the ground beef absorbs the juice.
While cooking, continue stirring and breaking the pieces into the small size with the wooden spoon or heatproof spatula so the ground beef cooks evenly.
When the ground beef absorbs the juice, add one more teacup of vegetable oil and continue to cook by stirring for 2 or 3 minutes.
Add the salt and the black pepper (also you can add cumin) and cook for more 2 minutes and remove it from the stove.
How to Save Cooked Ground Beef?
1. If you save the cooked ground beef in the freezer, place the ground beef in a tray and leave it to cool. Divide it into smaller portions and then put them in freezer bags. You have to use this cooked ground beef within 4 months.
2. If you save the cooked ground beef in jars, then put the cooked ground beef hot in the jars. Cover the lids and turn upside down the jars and leave them to cool. Save them in a cool place that doesn’t take sunlight.
Note: 1. If you save the cooked ground beef for long, do not add onion while cooking.
2. Do not add the cooked ground beef in your meals just after you take it out from the freezer. Thaw ground beef in the refrigerator overnight when ready to use.
