Melt in Your Mouth Cookies Recipe
Here is an another good companion to tea. If you like a little salty and sweet, you will love these cookies! These melt in your mouth cookies are so delicious that you have to bake them again! Must bake! Must bake!
For the dough;
- 1 teacup vegetable oil (110 ml.),
- 1 egg white (the egg yolk is for the top),
- 125 grams margarine (at the room temperature),
- 1 coffee spoon of granulated sugar,
- 1 teaspoon of salt,
- 3,5 – 4 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).
For the top;
- Egg yolk,
- Black cumin seeds.
Process of Melt in Your Mouth Cookies Recipe
Firstly, mix the margarine, vegetable oil, egg white, salt and granulated sugar in a deep bowl until it gets creamy.
Add the flour slowly and knead well and get a non sticky dough.
Take egg size pieces from the dough and by using your hands form a long rope on a plain surface.
Cut the rolled dough diagonally get diamond shaped dough pieces and place them on a baking sheet into a tray.
If you do not have a baking sheet, do not grease the tray. Make the tray lightly floured instead.
Brush egg yolk on them and sprinkle some black cumin seeds on them.
Finally bake them in the preheated oven at 180° until they get lightly brown.
After baking, leave the melt in your mouth cookies in the tray to cool.
When they get cool, serve.
There is no baking powder or vanilla in the cookie dough.
4 cups of all purpose flour is used in this recipe while preparing the dough.
Because the cookies do not get double size, no need to leave spaces between them while placing them in to the tray.
The cookies are neither sweet nor salty. The taste is different. You should try.
