Orange Custard Cake Recipe
It looks yummy and also tastes delicious. This orange custard cake will become your kids favorite cake. Don’t think about it, it is also easy to make.
- 2 eggs,
- 1 teacup of granulated sugar,
- 50 ml. milk,
- 25 ml. vegetable oil,
- 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams)
- 1 packet of baking powder (10 grams),
- 3/4 cup of all-purpose flour,

- 2 cups of orange juice (400 ml.),
- 1/2 cup of water (100 ml.)
- 4 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
- 2 tablespoons of starch,

Prepare the cake mixture. In a deep pot, beat the eggs and sugar by mixer until the mixture is fluffy, thick and foamy. Then add the milk, vegetable oil and vanilla and mix just until combined. Stir in the flour and baking powder and mix for 1 minutes. Pour the mixture in the tart pan that greased with margarine.
Bake it in the preheated oven at 180°C for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. When the cake cooked, open the cover and leave it for 5 minutes in the oven. Then remove it from the oven and leave to cool completely.
Prepare the orange custard. Mix the starch and water in a bowl. Put the orange juice, sugar and starch mixture in a pot. Cook it by stirring continuously until it gets thick. When it gets thick enough, remove it from the heat and leave to cool.
When the cake cool, remove it from the tart pan by turning it on a serving plate. Pour the cool custard on the cake and evenly spread. Put the sprinkles on the cake and fridge for 1 hour. Then slice and serve. Enjoy!
