Orzo Soup with Tomato Paste Recipe
Orzo soup is one of the most common soup in our cuisine as it’s easy and it doesn’t demand for many ingredients.
Ingredients;
- 1 teacup of uncooked orzo pasta,
- 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- 1 tomato (grated),
- Salt,
- Dried mint,
- 6 cups of water or chicken broth (the cup size is 200 ml.).
Process of Orzo Soup with Tomato Paste Recipe
For preparing the orzo soup, at first, heat the oil and add the tomato paste in a saucepan and cook for a while. Then add the grated tomato, stir and cook for 1 more minute. Pour the 6 cups of water and leave it to boil.
When it boils, add the orzo. Add the salt how much you like. And cook until the orzo get tender at a low heat for almost 8 or 10 minutes.
After the orzo get tender, sprinkle the dried mint and turn off the cooker. Your soup is ready to serve.
This recipe is for 5 or 6 people.
Note: If you want you can add chopped parsley in your soup before turning off the cooker.
