Pastry without Yeast, Margarine and Egg Recipe
It is possible to bake pastry without yeast, eggs and margarine. The following recipe does not contain eggs, yeast and margarine but they remain delicious. These pastries are also perfect for the people with egg allergies and sensitivities.

Ingredients;
For the dough;
- 1 cup of vegetable oil,
- 2 cups of yogurt (homemade yogurt),
- 2 packets of baking powder (10 + 10 grams),
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar,
- 5 – 5,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- 1 bowl of feta or, curd cheese,
- 1 pinch of parsley.
For the top;
- Breadcrumbs.
Process of Pastry without Yeast, Margarine and Egg Recipe
At first, combine the vegetable oil, yogurt, sugar, salt and baking powder in a deep bowl.
Add the flour slowly and knead.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
To prepare the filing, mix the chopped parsley and the feta in a bowl.
Take mandarin size pieces from the dough and roll them into your palms and get 25 dough pieces.
Press lightly on the pieces by using your hands and make them larger on a plain surface.
Put a small amount of the filling in the center. Fold the circle in half over the filling so the edges come together.
Roll the pastry dough in your palms again and dip the rolled dough in to the breadcrumbs.
Then place them into greased tray or on a baking sheet by leaving about one inch between each roll.
Bake them in the preheated oven at 190°C until they get golden brown for almost 20 minutes.
After baking, serve hot.
The amount of the all purpose flour can be change according to the yogurt (how much juicy it is) and the flour.
So add the flour slowly.
