Potato Dinner Rolls Recipe
This potato dinner rolls recipe is easy to make and the result is so delicious. They will be a favorite treat for your family.
For the dough;
- 200 ml. warm milk (1 cup),
- 1 cup of warm water,
- 1 cup of vegetable oil,
- 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
- 1 coffee spoon salt,
- 1 egg white (the egg yolk is for the top),
- 10 grams of instant yeast (1 packet),
- 6,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup size is: 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- 3 middle size potatoes,
- 1 bunch of fresh green onion,
- 4-5 bunches of parsley,
For the top;
- Egg yolk,
- Sesame seeds,
- Black cumin seeds.
Process of Flower Shaped Potato Dinner Rolls Recipe
Firstly, to prepare the dough, combine all the ingredients except for the yeast and the flour in a deep bowl.
Add the yeast and add the flour slowly and knead.
Get a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Knead the dough for more 5 or 6 minutes and gather the dough.
Cover the dough and leave it to rise for 1 hour.
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling.
Boil the potatoes and mash them.
Add the chopped fresh onion, parsley and salt and mix by stirring.
Take mandarin size pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm then make one of them larger by pressing on it with your hand.
Place the filling in the center of the dough and enclose the filling and roll it in your palm. Place the edges underneath.
Press lightly on the rolled dough and cut 5 petals out the pastry.
Then place the shaped dough in a greased tray and continue with the other dough pieces.
Brush the egg yolk on the pastries and sprinkle some sesame seeds.
Place some black cumin seeds in the center of the flowers.
Then bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until their tops get golden brown.
