Puff Pastry Pockets Recipe (Turkish Borek Made of Puff Pastry)
Here is my recipe for simple puff pastry pockets Turkish style. These quick and easily to make boreks are great for a meal, snack or party.
- 4 puff pastries.
To put inside;
- Cottage cheese or white/feta cheese,
To brush on;
- 1 tablespoon of grape molasses,
- A half teacup water,
Process of Puff Pastry Pockets Recipe
First remove the puff pastries from the fridge before using.
Whisk the cottage cheese and the chopped parsley in a bowl.
Take a sheet of puff pastry. And put a little amount of the mixture you prepared on the four corners of the sheet.
Another puff pastry is placed on the previous one. And press with your fingers on the edges of the sheets slightly.
Divide the sheets into quarters and get 4 squares.
Mix a tablespoon of grape molasses and a half tea cup water in a bowl.
Dip each square in the mixture and then cover them with sesame. Place all the pieces into the greased tray.
Bake them into the preheated to 180°C oven until they get golden brown.
Note; If you want, you can put potato or another thing instead of cheese in puff pastry.
With these measures, you can get 17 or 18 Puff Pastry Pockets.
