Puffed Pastry Pizza Recipe
Puffed pastry pizza are completely delightful. They have a nice light texture, you can change up the toppings, and most of all, they’re so incredibly easy to make with really impressive results.
For the dough;
- 1 cup of milk (200 ml.),
- 1 cup of warm water,
- 1 cup of vegetable oil,
- 1 packet of instant yeast (10 grams),
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar,
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.).
For the top;
- Feta cheese,
- 1 egg yolk.
Process of Puffed Pastry Pizza Recipe
For the beginning, to prepare the dough, combine all the ingredients except for the yeast and the flour in a deep bowl.
Add the yeast and add the flour slowly and knead well.
Get a soft but not sticky dough.
If needed, add one more tablespoon of flour.
Cover the dough and leave it to rise for 30 minutes at the room temperature.
Divide the dough in two pieces.
Make the two dough pieces larger by pressing on it with your fingers.
The edges of the dough will be thicker but the middle of the dough will be thinner.
Place the dough piece in a greased tray or pyrex.
Sprinkle some feta cheese pieces on the dough.
Then place slices of olives, tomatoes and peppers.
Brush the egg yolk on the edges of the dough.
Bake the puffed pastry pizza in the preheated oven at 170°C until the bottom and the top get golden brown.
After baking, slice and serve hot.
This puffed pastry pizza recipe is for 2 puffed pastry pizzas.
Note; If you desire, you can divide the dough in 4 or how many pieces you want so you can get 4 pizzas.
