Quick and Easy Cheese Buns Recipe
Quick and easy cheese buns filled with feta cheese and grated kashar cheese. An ideal bun for a picnic, brunch, or for last minute guests.
For the dough;
- 125 grams butter or margarine (melted),
- 1 teacup of vegetable oil (110 ml.),
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 1,5 packets of baking powder (10+5 grams),
- 2 eggs (separate one of their egg yolk to brush on it),
- 2 tablespoons of yogurt,
- 3 – 3,5 cups of all-purpose flour (the cup size: 200 ml.).
- Feta cheese and grated kashar cheese.
To brush on;
- 1 egg yolk.
For its above;
- Sesame seeds,
- Black seed.
Process of Quick and Easy Cheese Buns Recipe
For the easy cheese buns recipe, first mix the melted butter, vegetable oil and yogurt in a deep bowl by hand mixer.
Add the eggs and salt on them and mix again.
Add the baking powder and the flour gradually into the mixture and knead it until get a soft dough.
Take mandarin sized pieces from the dough, roll them with the palm of your hands.
Flatten these pieces on a flat ground by using your hand.
Put a little cheese mixture (feta cheese and grated kashar cheese) in the middle of the dough.
Close it up folding the edges upwards and then place them on the baking sheet in to the tray.
The folded side of buns dough should be at the bottom.
Then brush the egg yolk on the buns dough and make scratch marks on top of the each buns dough by using a fork.
Finally sprinkle the sesame seeds or black seed on top of each buns dough.
Bake them in the preheated oven to 200°C until the tops turn a golden brown.
Serve the buns while still warm.
