Quickie Pastry Recipe
In a very little time, you can prepare a wonderful breakfast for your family with this quickie pastry or for unexpected guests.
- 125 grams margarine,
- 1 Turkish coffee cup vegetable oil,
- 1 teacup yogurt,
- 2 eggs (one of the egg yolk is for the top),
- 1 coffee spoon salt,
- 2 tablespoons vinegar,
- 1 packet baking powder (10 grams),
- A half teaspoon carbonate,
- 4-4,5 cups all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- 1 bowl feta or curd cheese,
- 1 pinch of parsley.
For the top;
- Egg yolk,
Process of Quickie Pastry Recipe
Firstly, combine the margarine, vegetable oil, yogurt, eggs, salt and vinegar in a deep bowl.
Add a cup of flour, baking powder and carbonate and start to knead.
Add the flour left slowly and knead, get a soft but not sticky dough.
To prepare the filling, mix the feta or curd cheese with chopped parsley in a bowl.
Take mandarin size pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Get 18 dough pieces.
Press lightly on the dough on a plain surface by using your finger tips and place some filling in the center of the dough.
Fold the dough in half, enclosing the filling and press on the edges firmly (make a “D” shaped dough).
Place the shaped dough on a baking sheet into a tray.
Brush the egg yolk on them and make lines on them by using a fork then sprinkle some sesame on them.
Finally bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get golden brown.
After baking, serve.
