This royal halwa is easy to make and delicious but you must be careful not to burn or brown the flour.
- 2,5 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is: 200 ml.),
- A half packet of margarine (125 grams),
- 4 tablespoons of powdered sugar.
Process of Royal Halwa Recipe
Firstly, melt the margarine and leave it.
Roast the flour in a non-stick pan on the stove-top on low heat.
Stir constantly with a wooden spatula to avoid uneven browning for 15 minutes.
Once all the flour turns into a slightly yellowish ivory color remove the pan from the heat. Be careful not to burn or brown it.
There shouldn’t be any floury smell left either.
Then add the powdered sugar and keep stirring by pressing.
Add the melted margarine and continue to stir.
Then put the mixture in a small pyrex and spread the halwa evenly and press hard with a tablespoon until nice and smooth.
Cut the halwa, create a diamond pattern (Cut into the halwa to make strips and then make diagonal slices).
After it gets cool at the room temperature, leave it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Then serve it.
Note: After you add the flour and mix, you can also add crushed walnut in it.
