Salty Pastries Recipe
Once you taste these salty pastries, you get crazy about them. Hot and soft pastries will be your favorite. No need to wait the dough to rise because there is no yeast in the dough. So they are easy and also quick pastries.
For the dough;
- 1 teacup of yogurt (the teacup is 110 ml.),
- 1 teacup of vegetable oil,
- 200 ml. milk (1 cup),
- 1 coffee spoon of salt,
- 1 packet baking powder (10 grams),
- 3,5 – 4 cups of all purpose flour (the cup is 200 ml.).
For the top;
- 1 and a half more tablespoons of yogurt,
- 1 and a half more tablespoons of vegetable oil,
- Black cumin seeds.
Process of Salty Pastry Recipe
Firstly, mix the milk, vegetable oil, yogurt and salt in a deep bowl.
Add the baking powder in to the mixture and also add the flour slowly.
Knead until you get a soft and a little sticky dough.
Make the dough 12 equal pieces.
And on a plain surface press on them by using your hand and make larger as big as a tea saucer.
Place them into a greased tray.
To brush on them, prepare the mixture.
Mix the yogurt, vegetable oil, sesame, black cumin seeds in to a small bowl.
Brush the mixture on them and make lines on them by using a fork.
Bake the soft salty pastries in the preheated oven at 190°C until they get golden brown (almost 30 minutes).
After baking, take them out from the oven and serve.
