Savory Cheese Pastry Recipe
This savory cheese pastry is so delicious and easy to make. Another good thing about savory cheese pastries is after you bake them you can keep them in the freezer and heat them up and serve as fresh.
- 3 eggs (one of the egg yolk is for the top),
- 1 cup of vegetable oil,
- 2 cups of yogurt,
- 1,5 coffee spoon of salt,
- 1 packet of baking powder (10 grams),
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar,
- 6 cups of all purpose flour(the cup is: 200 ml.).
For the filling;
- 1 bowl of curd cheese
- 1 pinch of parsley.
For the top;
- 1 egg yolk,
- 1 coffee spoon of vegetable oil,
- Sesame seeds,
- Black cumin seeds.
Process of Savory Cheese Pastry Recipe
Firstly, to prepare the filling, mix the curd cheese and the chopped parsley in a small bowl.
Then to prepare the dough, combine all the ingredients except for the baking powder and the flour in a deep bowl.
Add the baking powder and add the flour slowly and knead well.
Get a soft and slightly sticky dough.
Take mandarin size pieces from the dough and roll them in your palm.
Make the dough pieces larger by pressing slightly on them with your fingers on plain surface.
Place the fillings in the center of the dough and enclose the filling.
Press the edges together firmly and place the pastries in a greased tray (the edges you press together should be underneath).
Mix the vegetable oil and the egg yolk in a small bowl.
Brush the egg yolk and the vegetable oil mixture on the pastries.
Sprinkle some sesame and black cumin seeds.
Then bake them in the preheated oven at 180°C until they get golden brown.
