Savory Leek Cake Recipe
Tea time…, of course, it requires a companion. Tea companions do not always have to be the sweet ones like cookies and sweet cakes. This time try the savory leek cake. Here is the recipe.
- 3 leeks,
- 2 eggs,
- 2 teacups of cornflour,
- 1 teacup of milk (110 ml.),
- 1 teacup of vegetable oil (110 ml.),
- 10 grams of baking powder (1 packet),
- Crushed red pepper.
Process of Savory Leek Cake Recipe
At first, wash the leeks well and slice them as thinly as possible.
Boil the sliced leeks in the water until they get tender enough.
(Add some salt into the water).
Beat the eggs into a deep bowl and add the milk, vegetable oil, cornflour, salt, crushed red pepper and baking powder.
Mix them and then add the boiled and drained leeks into the mixture.
Sprinkle some cornflour into a greased pyrex and pour the cake mixture in it and spread.
Bake the leek cake into the preheated oven at 170°C until it gets golden brown.
Slice the cake while it is hot and serve hot.
