Semolina Dessert with Whipped Cream Recipe
Semolina dessert with whipped cream: It is something special to enjoy with good coffee or tea and friends or a wonderful dessert after a dinner!
For the dough;
- 125 grams margarine (at the room temperature),
- 1 cups of vegetable oil,
- A half cup of yogurt,
- 1 egg,
- 1 tablespoon of vinegar,
- A half packet of baking powder (5 grams),
- 1 cup of semolina,
- 1 flick of salt,
- 4 cups of all purpose flour.
For the syrup;
- 2,5 cups of granulated sugar,
- 3 cups of water,
- 4-5 drops of lemon juice.
For the top;
- 1 packet of whipped cream powder (75 grams),
- 1 cup of milk.

Firstly, to prepare the syrup, put the sugar and the water in a deep pot and mix them until the sugar dissolves.
Then cook it until it starts to boil.
When it starts to boil, add the lemon juice and continue to boil for 5 minutes at low heat.
Then turn off the stove and leave it to cool.
To prepare the dough, combine all the ingredients except for the flour in a deep bowl.
Add the baking powder and add the flour slowly and knead well.

Continue with the other half of the dough.
Then bake them in the preheated oven to 180°C until they get golden.
Just after you take them out from the oven, pour the cool syrup on them.
After some time, turn the desserts to make them absorb the syrup.
Mix the whipped cream powder and the milk until it gets foamy and leave it in the refrigerator.
Place the desserts on serving plate and place the whipped cream in the center of the desserts.
