Soft Damson Cake Recipe
Damsons are blue-black fruit that look like small plums. They can make a cake more delicious. Try and see how delicious this soft damson cake.
For the cake mixture;
- 3 eggs,
- 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar,
- A half cup of water,
- A half cup of vegetable oil,
- 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams),
- 1 packet of baking powder (10 grams),
- 2 cups of all purpose flour.
For the top;
- 6 – 7 damsons.
The cup size is: 200 ml.
Process of Soft Damson Cake Recipe
Firstly, cut damsons in half and take the cores out from the plums and cut them crosswise thinly.
To prepare the cake mixture, mix the eggs and the sugar in a deep bowl until it gets foamy. Add the vegetable oil and the water and mix. At the end, add the baking powder, vanilla and the flour and mix well. Get a runny cake mixture.
Pour the cake mixture in to a greased with margarine rectangular pyrex and spread. Then place the damson slices on the cake.
Bake the cake in the preheated oven at 170°C. After checking the cake with the help of a toothpick, take it out from the oven.
When your soft damson cake gets cool enough, sprinkle some powdered sugar on it and serve.
