Spinach Salad with Yogurt Dressing Recipe
If you love spinach salad, you are going to love this simple, healthy and delicious salad recipe. The yogurt salad dressing is easy and tasty. The garlic cloves add lots of flavor and nutritional value.
- 250-300 grams spinach,
- 1 middle size onion,
- 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil,
For the dressing;
- 2 cups of yogurt (the cup size is 200 ml.),
- 2 cloves of garlic,
For the sauce;
- Vegetable oil,
- Red pepper flakes.
Process of Spinach Salad with Yogurt Dressing Recipe
For the salad, tear the spinach leaves into bite-sized pieces and wash and leave them to drain.
Put 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil in a pan and add the chopped onion and cook it by stirring. Then add the drained spinach and a pinch of salt and saute the spinach. And then remove it from the heat and leave it to warm.
For the dressing, mix the yogurt, grated garlic and salt in a bowl until smooth. Add the warm spinach into the yogurt sauce and toss until combined.
Prepare the sauce. In a small pan, cook oil and the red pepper flakes by stirring for a while.
Pour the spinach salad in a serving plate and before serving, pour the sauce on it and serve.
Note: Baby spinach is ideal for this salad recipe, but use regular spinach and just tear it into fork size pieces.
You can also use 2 tablespoons of Parmesan cheese or a grated extra old cheddar in this spinach salad.
