Sponge Finger Dessert Recipe
It is an elegant, no bake sponge finger dessert recipe. And the result is a light and flavorful sweet treat.
- 1 packet sponge finger biscuit.
For the cream;
- 1 teacup of granulated sugar,
- 3 tablespoons of all purpose flour,
- 2 cups of milk,
- 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams).
To make the biscuits wet;
- 1 teacup of milk,
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.
For the top;
- 1 bar chocolate (80 grams),
- Grated coconut.
The cup size is 200 ml.
Process of Sponge Finger Dessert Recipe
Firstly, to prepare the cream, mix the milk, sugar and flour in a pot by using a wire beater.
And cook it until it gets thick by stirring constantly.
Finally add the vanilla and stir then leave it to get warm.
Mix the milk and the sugar and stir until the sugar dissolves.
Put the grated coconuts in a plate.
Dip the sponge fingers into the milk and sugar mixture and then dip them into the grated coconuts and place them in a tray.
Put some of the cream on the sponge finger biscuits and then put another sponge fingers dipped into first milk and sugar mixture then grated coconuts over the cream.
And cover them with grated coconuts.
Place them on a serving plate.
Melt chocolate using a bain-marie and pour on them (make thin lines on them with the chocolate).
Leave the dessert in the fridge for 1 or 2 hours then serve.
Do not leave the sponge fingers in the milk and sugar mixture for long.
