This easy-to-make ground beef with potato recipe is one of the stove top favorites. It does not require hours but it tastes wonderful and also nutritious. Children will love it with pilaf.

Ingredients;

  • 4 middle size potatoes,
  • 250 grams ground beef,
  • 1 onion,
  • 1 red bell pepper,
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic,
  • 1 tablespoon of tomato paste,
  • 1 coffee spoon of pepper paste,
  • 3 tablespoon of vegetable oil,
  • Red pepper flakes,
  • Thyme,
  • Salt,
  • Hot water (almost 2 cups).

Process of Stove top Ground Beef with Potato Recipe

Firstly, peel the potatoes and wash them and slice them (not very thin or not very thick).
Put the vegetable oil in a pot and add the finely chopped onion and pepper and saute them.
Then add the ground beef and cook by stirring until the color of ground beef changes.
Add the tomato and pepper paste and stir.
Add the grated garlic, red pepper flakes and thyme.
After all, add the sliced potatoes and stir well.
Pour the water and add the salt and leave it to boil at high heat.
After it starts to boil, make the heat lower and cook until the potatoes get tender.

This recipe is for 4 or 5 people.
