Tender Rolled Cheese Pastry Recipe

Tender Rolled Cheese Pastry RecipeIngredients;

For the dough;

  • 2 1/2 cups of milk (300 ml.),
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar,
  • 1 coffee spoon of salt,
  • 2 egg whites (separate the egg yolks to brush on),
  • 1 packet of instant yeast (10 grams),
  • 1 teacup of oil (110 ml.),
  • 6 1/2 cups of all purpose flour (the cup size is 200 ml.).

To brush the dough;

  • 125 grams of margarine,
  • A half teacup of oil (55 ml.).

For filling;

  • 1 bowl of cheese,
  • 1 pinch of parsley.

For the top;

  • 2 egg yolks,
  • Sesame seeds,
  • Black seeds.

Process of Tender Rolled Cheese Pastry Recipe

Prepare the cheese pastry dough. Except for the yeast and the flour, put all the ingredients in to a deep bowl and mix. Add 1 cup of flour and the yeast in to the mixture. Mix them by using your hand. Add the flour slowly and knead the dough until you get a smooth but not sticky dough.

To brush the dough, melt the margarine and add the vegetable oil in it. Set aside.

For the filling, mix the cheese and the chopped parsley in a bowl and set aside.

Divide the dough into 6 equal pieces without waiting its rising. Take one of the pieces and roll out it on a flat surface by a rolling pin according to size of the tray. Brush 1/6 of the mixture (margarine and oil) you prepared before over the dough. Sprinkle 1/6 of the filling over the dough and roll it beginning the long side. Slice the rolled dough leaving 2 cm. borders and place them in to the greased tray.

Repeat with the remaining dough pieces and filling.

Brush the egg yolk on the pastries. Sprinkle sesame seeds and black seeds and bake them into the preheated oven to 180°C until they get golden brown.

Remove the cheese pastries from the oven when they get enough brown and serve them after 5 or 10 minutes.
