Three Layered Rusk Dessert Recipe
The Best no bake rusk dessert with vanilla custard and crushed biscuits.
- 1 packet of rusk toast.
For the syrup;
- 1,5 cups of granulated sugar,
- 2 cups of water (400 ml.),
- 4-5 drops of lemon juice.
For the custard;
- 1 liter of milk,
- 6 tablespoons of granulated sugar,
- 6 tablespoons of all purpose flour,
- 2,5 tablespoons of starch,
- 1 packet of vanilla (5 grams),
- 50 grams margarine and butter.
For the top;
- 1 packet of biscuit.
Process of Three Layered Rusk Dessert Recipe
Firstly, to prepare the syrup, put the water and the sugar in a pot and leave it to boil.
After it starts to boil, add the lemon juice and lower the heat and cook it for more 10 minutes.
Then leave it for 5 minutes.
Place the rusks in a large rectangular pyrex and pour the syrup on them.
To prepare the custard, put the milk, sugar, flour and the starch in a pot and mix them by using a wire beater.
Cook it by stirring until it gets thick.
When the custard gets thick enough, add the vanilla and the margarine and mix by stirring then turn off the stove.
Pour the custard on the rusks and spread then leave it to cool at the room temperature.
Sprinkle the crushed biscuits on the custard and cover the dessert with a plastic wrap and leave it to cool in the refrigerator for 1 hour or if possible for 1 night.
Then serve your delicious rusk dessert.
