It is a delicious treat especially these days that the weather is turning cooler. This tahini halva recipe will make your mouth water.

Ingredients;

  • 200 grams no salt butter or margarine ,
  • 3 cups of all purpose flour,
  • 1,5 cups of powdered sugar,
  • 1 cup of tahini ,
  • 1 cup of crushed hazelnut.

Process of Traditional Tahini Halva with Hazelnut Recipe

Firstly, melt the butter in a large pan.
Add the 3 cups of flour and cook it by stirring over low heat until the color of the flour changes.
Add the half of the powdered sugar and continue to cook by stirring.
Then add the powdered sugar left and mix well and after 2 minutes turn off the stove.
Add the tahini and mix well by stirring.
Finally add the crushed hazelnut and stir well.

Lay plastic wrap in a small cake tray or pyrex and pour the mixture in it.
Leave it to cool at the room temperature.
After it gets cool enough, place it in the refrigerator.
After the halva’s characteristic crystallized texture can fully develop, take it out from the refrigerator and remove it by turning it on a serving plate.
And serve by slicing. Give this halva recipe a try.
